Thermaltake Blacx Usb Docking Station Driver
So I have the Thermaltake BlacX Duet, a dual HDD docking bay. It supports USB and eSATA and USB of course works fine, because it has built in port replication/multiplication. But when I try to use.
So I have the Thermaltake BlacX Duet, a dual HDD docking bay. It supports USB and eSATA and USB of course works fine, because it has built in port replication/multiplication. But when I try to use eSATA, only one drive shows up.
If I pop the slot 1 HDD out and rescan the disks, it picks up the slot 2 HDD just fine. At first I figured it was a hardware limitation (not supported by my chipset) and I just used USB most of the time, unless I had large files to transfer, but when I installed Ubuntu 11.04b2 over the weekend, it happily detected and mounted both drives via eSATA, so it's obviously not a hardware issue. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I might get Windows 7 to recognize both drives - i.e. Drivers or updates or some sort of workaround. Right now the drives do reuse drive letters, so I assigned them permanent drive letters to make sure there was no overlap and that made no difference. I assume it's just an unsupported feature, but since it seems to be software-based and not hardware-based, there should be a workaround.
Edit for additional information: I am running an HP dv5-2035dx with an AMD Turion II P520 Dual Core Processor (2.30 GHz), 4GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1066MHz, and an Intel X25-M 80GB SSD. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm having this problem now as well with my Windows 8.1 w/update 1 Prior to updating 8.1 with the new update 1, I was able to use both BlacX hdd slots but now only one of the slots works correctly. Doesn't matter which drive I use either. Only one of the slots now functions correctly. I'm thinking there is some kind of USB power management feature that has been added to the new 8. Serial Number Adobe Acrobat Reader Dc. 1 update 1 that is causing the problem as I've checked out other threads with people having the same problem. This whole going green thing being forced on people is driving folks nuts as things are just not working right with all the low power things that are being pushed on users- it's pretty ridiculous.
No choice given in the matter and the new power features do not work at all. I went to the site you recommended but it says ' We're sorry, but your operating system is not supported by Microsoft Fix it at this time' Sorry is right.
